Plants produce all food on Earth
Most of us were never taught how to grow them.
Over the coming season we plan to resource gardens and inspire a connection to nature in young people through the act of growing hundreds of plants from seed.

Sow your seeds on the collection day under guidance of expert urban farmers. Ask any growing questions you like.

We’ll walk you through sowing, watering, timing, transplanting, watering, harvesting and replanting. The entire cycle from life to death.
You're raising, teaching or supporting a young person aged 0–25.
A house full of toddlers. Kids at primary or high school. A university student finding their feet. This is about grounding the first quarter of a life in a real relationship with the living world.

This programme is for you if…
You've got a bit of space and ten minutes a day.
A backyard, a school garden, a community plot, a family farm, even a sunny balcony. We provide the seeds, the trays, the mix and the weekly guidance. You provide the light, the water, and a young person willing to get their hands dirty.
You're part of a school, marae, church, sports club or community group.
This campaign is built to grow community, not just gardens. If you can bring a group of young people together, we want to help you host a sowing event of your own.

Meet Levi
Urban farmer, teacher, and founder of Delicious Revolution
Levi has built productive growing systems in some of Auckland's most challenging urban environments including:
OMG Urban Farm
Produced over 21 tonnes of vegetables from a 400m² parking lot.Te Maara Kai o Wirihana
A 6,500m² school garden and food forest where students grow everything from seed.
Levi’s passion lies in education and he spends his time teaching and supporting beginner gardeners to grow plants and create ecosystems.

Yes. Growing from seed should be radically accessible — not a privilege. The project budget is only 1/5th fundraised and so any koha you are able to contribute will go toward delivering the best possible outcomes for our young people.

One resource pack per young person living in the household. A family with four young people under 25 can apply for four packs; one young person means one pack.

No you can start from where ever you are at. Grow at home, at school, at a community garden, on a family farm, or on a balcony — wherever works for you.

Access to water (a hose or watering can) and basic tools for planting and harvesting — a trowel, secateurs, a knife.
